After years of playing competitive sports including volleyball, tennis and golf, Sheri found herself suffering from chronic knee and back pain. Her Physical Therapist suggested a month of Pilates to aid in rehabilitation and prevention of future injury. The month evolved into a year and before long, she was certified to teach Pilates through DK Body Balancing Method. Nearly a decade later, she is the proprietor of a successful Pilates studio. Sheri still finds herself thrilled at instructing a method of movements that she feels not only enriches her life and physical well being but yields impressive results in people of all ages and physical condition.

Patricia has been an instructor at Fokus Pilates since early 2006. Patricia is a licensed physical therapist, a BASI certified Pilates instructor and an IASI board certified NEWSSI Structural Integration Practitioner. Patricia became interested in physical therapy after she incurred a serious knee injury while playing collegiate volleyball. While working in sports medicine and orthopedic physical therapy settings, Patricia was introduced to Pilates apparatus and method. As a physical therapist, she appreciates Pilates emphasis on core strengthening as well as its emphasis on training muscles through their full range, outside of Cartesian planes (in spirals and diagonals). After experiencing the effectiveness of Pilates as a rehabilitative tool, Patricia knew she wanted to study Pilates and integrate it into her practice. At Fokus, Patricia offers goal oriented Pilates instruction.
Michelle Taylor
Certified Pilates Instructor

Michelle is a certified Pilates instructor through D.K. Body Balancing and has been with Fokus Pilates studio since 2010. Michelle was initially drawn to practice pilates as a means to increase strength, flexibility and mind-body awareness. Pilate’s capacity to rehabilitate injuries and it’s ability to create beautiful long lean shaped muscles are what continually inspire her to instruct. Michelle believes in leading a balanced life and is passionate about sharing the
gift of pilates.
Lori Burri
Certified Pilates Instructor
Lori developed a passion for Pilates over the past 8 years and recognized the tremendous changes in her own body. As a marathon runner, she found that the flexibility and strength she achieved through Pilates took her running to the next level. Recognizing the benefits to her own body, she felt driven to teach others and obtained her comprehensive Pilates certification through Body Arts and Science International, taught by Rael Isacowitz, Lori’s goal as an instructor is to provide her clients desired results through carefully structured programs focused on correct exercise and movement.
